Smithy Bridge Primary School has been awarded the OPAL Gold Award.
OPAL is an award-winning, mentor supported programme that is supporting us to improve the quality of our play opportunities. OPAL is the only programme of its kind that has been independently proven to sustainably improve the quality of play in British primary schools.
Our school aim is that everyone is happy, safe and flourishes throughout their time with us and that applies to both academic learning and learning through play. We believe a positive play experience enhances a child’s emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.
