Welcome to Class RM

“Even the smallest person can change the course of the future”

                                                                                           - J.R.R Tolkien

We are an enthusiastic team of 31 amazing children and 2 bubbly adults!

My name is Mrs Morris and along with my super teaching assistant, Mrs Borrill, we have created a warm, welcoming and stimulating learning environment for all of our future superstars!

This half term we have been focussing on Personal, Social and Emotional well-being; settling back into school, making new friendships and learning how to be independent, happy and confident children.

We have enjoyed collective worship and circle time, sharing our own experiences from home and learning how to be kind, caring and supportive friends to one another as well as exploring the new shared provision and showing off our physical skills in the outdoor area!

We have been getting to know every child’s unique personalities and discovering their personal likes, dislikes and talents and we are super impressed!

Class Rules and Rewards

This half term our collective worship focus has been on KINDNESS which is one of our school values. As a class we have discussed how we can be kind within our classroom, especially during carpet time when we are learning lots of new things. We decided that we should show:

  • Good sitting
  • Good listening
  • Good looking
  • Good thinking
  • Good sharing
  • Kind hands

If we try really hard to follow our Super 6 rules we are rewarded with verbal praise, team points and ‘spotted’ raffle tickets. If our team wins at the end of the week we get to do something special on Friday afternoon. If our raffle ticket is chosen on Friday morning we get to choose a brand new book from Mr Crook’s office, it’s very exciting!

Here are some photographs to show you how much fun we have been having in our new class!

Days to Remember!

Please ensure your child’s home reading book and spelling book are in school every Thursday ready for change over day on Friday.

Phonics and number homework will be set every Friday on Seesaw.

Topic homework projects will be set each half term on Seesaw.
